About Collecting Photography Art & ‘Test Prints’

Are you an art photography collector or lover and have you seen an art piece that you are considering to add to your collection, but don’t find the information which art photography gallery is selling the work? There might be an opportunity to buying directly from the artist, which can be a great experience as well.

Having the personal interaction between the artist and collector can bring a deeper connection to the work. For me, as the maker, it adds so much value when a print is sold. Having some conversation with the buyer, personally packing and sending the work, adding a little handwritten note to go with the shipment. It makes the whole making and collecting of fine art prints so personal, for both me and you, the collector, as well I hope.

Test prints.

‘Test Prints’ are (mostly small) prints that I make to test new printing or mixed media techniques. Every one of these prints is unique in its size, paper, added layers like paint, thread, wax and so on.

The Reason for Selling Unique Art Prints.

One of the reasons I sell these handmade photo prints is to be able to continue my work and keep pushing my boundaries of making finished pieces of photo art.

Wabi Sabi Photo Art.

Having a creative mind & exploring photography, means that I revisit my work over and over again and also print on different papers/materials, use mediums like paint, wax, lace or other ways to make unique one-of-a-kind photo art works.

For all prints it is good to know that these collectors items are altered by hand, so they are far from what most people consider ‘perfect’. This is exactly what I am looking for in the works that I offer to my art lovers and collectors. This makes the piece unique and gives the finished art piece an old feeling & ‘memory’. Like Wabi-Sabi.

Constant change in Time

You will not find exactly the same piece on the wall at your friends house (unless it is mentioned that they are part of a limited edition series or poster prints). Revisiting the work from scratch gives me the desired space to expres my feeling at that specific moment in time. This feels so much more authentic and the outcome of the same photo can have a totally different look and feel as, let’s say, a year before. The only sure thing about life and art is that it is constantly changing.

These unique prints are registered as TP (Test Prints), signed and numbered on the back. The works are not framed unless mentioned otherwise.

I hope you enjoy what you find here and if there is anything you would like to know, please contact me.
